The dollar exchange rate has decreased compared to the time I gave the loan, how can I take it?

Abduvahid Ahmadaliyev, specialist of the Fatwa Center of the Office of Muslims of Uzbekistan, answered the questions
Abduvahid Ahmadali, a specialist of the Fatwa Center of the Office of Muslims of Uzbekistan, answered the questions - A friend gave me money and said, "Give it to so-and-so, it's a deposit for you." I spent this money for my needs. But when my friend told me, I delivered his money to the said person.
Is there something wrong with my work? - Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim.
Of course, there is a mistake in this work. That is, the money given to you is considered a deposit, and spending it for your own needs without the consent of the depositor is a mistake and betrayal of the deposit.
The deposit can be used only with the consent of the owner. If it is used without the owner's consent, it will be released from the deposit and become a payable fee.
This is mentioned in the fatwas: "It (the deposit) must be kept in the presence of the person to whom it was given, and it must be returned at the time of the owner's request. This is also mentioned in Shumunniy.
The property of the deposit cannot be given to another person for deposit, ariyat (temporary use), rent or pledge. If the person who received the deposit does one of these, he will pay it" ("Fatovo Alamgiriyya book").

- – I lent it to my friend six months ago. At that time, I calculated 300 dollars from 12,760 soums and transferred a total of 3,828,000 soums.
-
Should I take 300 dollars at the current exchange rate when repaying the debt or should I give 3 million 828 thousand soums at that time? I don't want to take my honest money for 200-250 thousand soums.
So what will be the verdict? - The loan must be repaid in the same currency and in the same amount in which the loan was issued.
If your friend received soums in his hand or on his card, even if you transferred it in dollars, according to Sharia, his debt is fixed in soums. Therefore, you should get back the 3 million 828 thousand soums given at that time without using the current exchange rate.

- When my child was sick, I made a vow saying, "If he recovers, I will give him to Zangibobo and kill him." Thank God, my child has recovered. Do I have to fulfill my vow now?

- No, if a sin is offered for work, it will not be followed. Because it is not permissible to slaughter a sheep in honor of a great breed.
In our books, it is said about this: "Know that the offerings made by the majority of people to the graves of the saints in order to be close to them are invalid and haram according to the consensus of the scholars" ("Durrul-mukhtar" vol. 2 p.
439). * * * – I have a question about the way to make money in a workshop of trucks and vans in America.
The following two situations have become the way of making money for almost all workshops: 1) Spare parts are obtained from dealers after the order is received. Because we are regular customers, dealers give us parts at a discount of up to 50%.
Would it be right for us to keep this discount and sell it to the customer at a profit? For example, selling a part for $50 for $100.
However, even if the customer goes to the dealer himself, he still buys around $100. 2) Hourly wages are set at approximately $130.
There is a special program that calculates working time and cost. We receive from the client as much as the program issues.
But the program calculates the time in excess. For example, although we complete a task in 4 hours, the program considers it as a 10-hour task.
In this way, two to three times more time is spent compared to the actual work. Is it permissible to make money in this way?
- If you buy the product yourself and then sell it to the customer at the market price or at the agreed price, there is nothing wrong with that. Trading is halal in our Shari'ah, and you can sell spare parts that have become your property with a certain amount of profit.
But don't lie to the customer saying "I paid for it" and there should be a mutual agreement on the price. 2) In such situations, it is necessary to agree on the salary, not by the hour, that is, by the time, but by the work, that is, by the work performed.
The special program can be used only to determine the value of the work in advance and to agree the price with the client. Then, even if you finish the work faster than the schedule, you will receive the agreed fee.
But "spent" time that wasn't actually spent on the customer It is not permissible in Sharia to cheat by saying that or writing unreasonable long hours for trivial work. * * * – We started a startup (online education platform) as a team.
To start the work, we want to raise funds for the salary of the team members and the development of the platform. There are two ways to raise funds: 1) If we calculate 10% of the startup for a certain amount and receive funds from an investor.
After our startup becomes profitable, the investor will become our permanent teammate and 10% of the income will be his. In this case, whether the startup develops or not, the investment received will not be returned.
- If we take a loan from someone and give him 5% of our startup and add him to our team. In this case, regardless of whether the startup develops or not, we will return the loan without any discount.
In both cases, if you provide information about the presence of riba, whether it is permissible or not. – 1) This practice is considered a partnership agreement from the point of view of sharia, and it is permissible.
Because in this case, the investor is investing with the condition of sharing both profit and loss. That is, if the business does not go well, his money will burn and he will not demand from you as a loan.
- This appearance is impermissible as it is considered conditional lending or guaranteeing investment in partnership. According to jurisprudence, any interest-related debt is riba.
Here, giving the lender a share from the start-up in addition to returning the principal is considered riba. In addition, it is not fair to guarantee the return of the money invested in the partnership.

- – What is the ruling on making money on social networks? Payment is made for the number of views of the video posted on the social network "YouTube" and the display of advertising through this video (the advertisement is placed by the company "YouTube").
-
The video uploader cannot always decide what kind of ads will be displayed. Advertisements vary by country.
Not all may be Sharia-compliant. – It is not okay to help or mediate advertisements that promote things that are against the Shariah, such as gambling, obscenity, and products forbidden in Islam.
Therefore, if the channel owner has the ability to remove ads completely or select only honest ads, he should do so. If this is not possible and it is possible to operate on another platform in accordance with Sharia, it is appropriate to move to that place.

- How correct is it to ask artificial intelligence for a fatwa? – Today, artificial intelligence is developing very quickly, and its potential is being effectively used in the fields of economy, education, culture, service and media.
-
-
Along with its advantages, it also has disadvantages. Therefore, managing, regulating and controlling artificial intelligence is very important today.
In fact, artificial intelligence has a positive and negative impact on human life, for example, it is very useful in showing religious conversations through effective videos and finding the necessary information. However, some people are also using artificial intelligence to answer sharia questions and fatwas.
However, according to our religion, one cannot rely on the answers received from him in such matters. After all, issuing a fatwa according to Sharia requires the direct participation of a jurist.
The question should be answered depending on the situation, time, place, customs and social and economic conditions of the questioner. Artificial intelligence cannot perform such aspects independently and completely.
Therefore, fatwas issued by artificial intelligence are not taken into account from the point of view of sharia. * * * – Nowadays, people who have already died are being brought back to life with artificial intelligence and are being made to talk to their families.
What is the instruction of our Sharia in this regard and what do our scholars say? - It is recommended to stay away from such things.
Because such things are considered a multifaceted mistake. First, respect for a person, especially a parent, continues even after their death.
It is against their respect to make a video of his picture and talk about it. Because they didn't actually say what they said in the video.
So, this work is spreading false information from their language, giving false information on their behalf. Secondly, the dangerous part of such work is to boldly interfere in the circumstances of life in the grave, which is one of the unseen affairs for slaves.
This is dangerous for human faith and belief. Because in some videos there are places where parents say "we are fine, we are watching you, we are watching you".
How does AI or those making this video know how they are in the grave?! Thirdly, this technology can turn still photos of people into short videos and make the owner of the photo smile, wink, and nod.
This can be done with any picture of a person, living or dead. This is a type of entertainment that some companies are doing, but this game may go beyond eye and head movement in the future, to sarcasm and mockery, to fake and distort reality.
The new technology belongs to the category known as "Deepfakes" (deep fakes) and is included by experts in the group of "unacceptable technologies". This technology is being used by some individuals for criminal purposes, blackmailing by combining photos of innocent people and creating fake videos.
Another disadvantage of this technology is that family photos and information end up in the hands of these companies and installed on their devices! In addition, one of the disadvantages of the original idea: clinging to images and the past and renewing grief.
Even if the photo is on the device and the technology is not being used for spoofing or spoofing, beware of this app and do not interact with it. Therefore, a Muslim believer should not blindly follow what people are doing, but should determine whether it is right or wrong and act accordingly.
In addition, our religion promotes obtaining the approval of parents in this world, doing righteous deeds after their death, and making their souls happy. Crying over a picture or video will not change anything, but they will be saddened by the sins they are committing.
After all, in the hadith of Anas ibn Malik, may God bless him and grant him peace, it is said: "The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, "Surely your deeds will be shown to your deceased relatives. If they are good, they will be happy.
If not, they will say, "Allah, don't let them die until you guide us as you guided us." (Narrated by Imam Ahmad). God bless you.
