Tasks of the Republican Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment
1. Define the priority directions of promoting the national idea rooted in goodness and humanity, and of spiritual and educational work;
2. develop and implement targeted advocacy programs that take into account the specific features of sectors and regions;
3. carry out spiritual and educational activities for the continuous moral education of the public, especially youth, and for strengthening interfaith tolerance, interethnic harmony and mutual care;
4. communicate the substance of political and socio-economic reforms, legal acts and state programs to the wider public;
5. coordinate the work of the “Ma’rifat” society of educators that brings together the public, scholars, specialists and creative intellectuals;
6. explain complex geopolitical and ideological processes in the world and conduct effective ideological work against terrorism, religious extremism, fanaticism, corruption, human trafficking, information attacks, the negative effects of “mass culture”, the drug trade and other threats;
7. conduct advocacy against internal threats to stable development — indifference to the fate of the country, localism, clan-based attitudes, neglect of family values and of youth education;
8. broadly promote the national idea among all nations and social groups living in the country, turn the spirit of creation into a public movement, and strengthen confidence in the future;
9. apply a balanced, purposeful and meaningful approach in advocacy that accounts for the spiritual needs of the population and for regional, professional and age differences;
10. conduct sociological research for scientifically grounded monitoring of the effectiveness of spiritual and educational advocacy in ministries, agencies and regions;
11. form a healthy worldview and a reading culture among young people, raise the culture of responsible use of the internet and ICT, and strengthen ideological immunity to ideological and information attacks;
12. cooperate with state and public organizations on the social and economic activation of young people in mahallas;
13. develop and introduce measures to preserve historical heritage, customs and national educational traditions, strengthen mutual care, and establish a healthy lifestyle;
14. instill in the younger generation, through effective means, feelings and concepts related to family, mahalla, historical memory, national pride and the upbringing of a well-rounded person, developing the heritage of ancestors in unity with the demands of modern progress;
15. using television, radio, the press and the internet, prepare social materials of various themes and acquaint the public with the lives of contemporary role models — leading, progressive people who set an example for all;
16. study spiritual and ideological processes on a scientific basis, develop diagnostic foundations and prospects, organize advocacy effectively, and raise the qualifications of sector specialists;
17. coordinate the work of state bodies, non-governmental organizations and working (expert) groups on the main directions of spiritual and educational activity;
18. study the impact of harmful ideas and spiritual threats that contradict national interests and our way of life on different layers of the population;
19. fight effectively against actions that negatively affect the minds of young people and aim to make them ideologically dependent, and develop moral education programs for a willful, devoted, patriotic and independently thinking generation;
20. study foreign experience in organizing spiritual, educational and upbringing work, and comprehensively analyze and assess today’s ideological processes;
21. monitor spiritual, educational and upbringing work across preschool, general secondary, secondary specialized and higher education, mahallas and other structures, and develop scientifically grounded proposals to solve identified problems;
22. organize fundamental, applied and innovative research in spiritual education and the social humanities, coordinate the practical application of their results, and related tasks.
