Navoiy Region

Navoiy Region is Uzbekistan's largest by area and one of Central Asia's main mining hubs. It stretches from the Kyzylkum Desert in the north to ancient oases in the south. Gold, uranium and other valuable resources are mined here. The region also draws ecotourists with yurt camps, camel caravans and desert night skies.
