The head of our state noted that ferrous metallurgy is one of the main sources of raw materials for construction, building materials, automobile industry, mechanical engineering, energy and electrical engineering industries worth a total of 50 billion dollars.
It was noted that in order to transfer the economy to the model of technological and innovative growth and to reach the gross domestic product to 240 billion dollars in 2030, it is necessary to ensure an annual growth of at least 8-9 percent.
At the same time, it was pointed out that the industry is dependent on imports, high cost and energy consumption, and insufficient results in the introduction of digitalization and artificial intelligence.
It was emphasized that strengthening the base of raw materials in ferrous metallurgy, increasing the type and quality of products is more urgent than ever, especially in the context of world conflicts and logistical problems in the main transport corridors.
